Record and preserve cultural heritage

I. Dong Nai Tourism Presentation and Promotion Contest 2024

Organizers:
Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism;
Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union;
Vietnam National Union of Students;
Lac Hong University.

Participants: All students in Dong Nai province and individuals who are passionate about local culture and tourism (both professional and non-professional categories). Participants aged 14 and above are eligible.

Purpose:
The contest aims to encourage students and the community to explore, record, and promote Dong Nai’s intangible cultural heritage, including local folklore, traditional festivals, cuisine, crafts, folk arts, and historical landmarks. Through this event, the university contributes to preserving and disseminating knowledge of local traditions, languages, and cultural practices—answering the goal of engaging in projects that safeguard intangible cultural heritage.

Contest Content:
Participants will present about Dong Nai’s tourist attractions, historical and cultural sites, scenic landscapes, traditional craft villages, cuisine, folk arts, festivals, and cultural figures. Presentations are encouraged to include illustrations such as images, music, or videos to make them more engaging.

Format:
The contest includes two rounds (preliminary and final). Finalists will draw a topic by lot and deliver a 10-minute presentation, followed by a Q&A session with the judges.

Results Announcement:
The list of finalists will be announced on October 15, 2024, at http://ttxtdldongnai.vn.

Awards:
22 prizes will be presented to outstanding contestants during Dong Nai Culture, Tourism, and Cuisine Week 2024.
