To strengthen the connection between academic training and professional practice, while helping students gain a clearer understanding of the real demands of the modern financial market, on the morning of April 18, 2026, at Hall A301, Lac Hong University, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting successfully organized a workshop entitled “The Art of Financial Investment Advisory: Essential Skills for Finance and Banking Students.”

The program featured Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong, Head of Customer Relationship Department at OCB Bien Hoa Branch, an experienced professional in finance, banking, and investment advisory services. Drawing from her practical experience in the corporate sector, the speaker delivered valuable insights closely aligned with current recruitment demands and emerging industry trends.

During the workshop, students were provided with a comprehensive understanding of the role of financial investment advisors in an increasingly competitive market undergoing rapid digital transformation. The speaker particularly emphasized the core competencies that Finance and Banking students should develop, including communication and customer advisory skills, financial analytical thinking, the ability to identify investment needs, building client trust, and adapting to technological advancements in modern banking operations.

Through practical case studies, professional experiences, and real workplace insights, students gained a clearer perspective on the working environment in the finance and banking sector, as well as the increasingly high expectations employers place on young talent. This serves as an important foundation for students to proactively shape their career orientation and prepare themselves while still at university.

The workshop atmosphere was dynamic and highly interactive, especially during the direct discussion session between students and the speaker. Numerous questions related to career opportunities, employability skills, workplace pressure in the industry, and financial investment trends were thoroughly addressed, providing practical perspectives and inspiring participants.

The successful organization of this workshop clearly reflects the Faculty’s educational orientation of integrating theory with practice, strengthening industry engagement, and enhancing students’ professional competencies. Beyond academic support, the program also contributed to the development of soft skills, professional confidence, and global readiness among students.
Through a series of collaborative activities with industry partners, Lac Hong University continues to affirm its commitment to providing a dynamic, application-oriented learning environment and accompanying students throughout their professional development journey.
