Luong Hoang An wins 2024 English Eloquence Contest

On April 26, 2024, at Auditorium B203, campus 1, LHU, the 2024 English Eloquence Contest organized by the Faculty of English Language officially found the winner.

The 2024 English Eloquence Competition is one of the Faculty of English Langugae's academic activities to encourage students to develop their talents and passion for presentations as well as improve communication skills, practice the ability to express opinions and use languages flexibly and convincingly, help students expand their knowledge and understanding of the world around them, at the same time creating a useful playground for students to interact, learn and practice English among students.

The preliminary round themed "Myths about GenZ” and “Social Media” was held online from April 8 to 17, 2024, attracting the participation of nearly 20 contestants. 

The Organizers selected 5 best contestants to continue to enter the final round including two rounds "The power of words" and "Head to Head". In the first round, the contestants randomly draw one of the available topics given by the Organizers and presented it in front of the judges. The two best contestants were selected for the final round. There, they were confident to show their ability to speak English fluently and persuade the judges with strong arguments and evidence.

The final results are as follows:

- First prize: Luong Hoang An - Class 21AV111

- Second prize: La Van Huan - Class 21AV111

- Third prize: Tran Ngoc Song Thu - Class 21AV113

- Third prize: Ngo Thi Kim Ngan - Class 22AV113

- Consolation Prize: Hoang Vu Kieu Giang - Class 22AV113

The Organizers also awarded prizes to excellent contestants at the preliminary round "Video presentation/Vlog"

- Most impressive video: Do Hoang Quoc Bao - Class 21AV113

- Video with the most likes/shares: Tran Thi Sen - Class 21AV113

- Consolation Prize: Nguyen Dang Hoang Bao - Class 23AV111

- Most impressive contestant: Pham Thi Quynh Tram - Class 23AV112
