The Faculty of Pharmacy at Lac Hong University is committed to educating future pharmacists who possess high professional competence, strong ethics, and a remarkable capability to contribute to the globalization of the healthcare system.

Established in 2012, the faculty has developed into an application-oriented pharmacy education unit, responding to the growing demand for high-quality workforces in pharmacy of Vietnam.

🟦 Overview

The five-year Pharmacist program is designed based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach, integrating basic sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, and extensive practical training.

Student are trained about:

  • Scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge
  • Competent skills aligned with real-world practice environments 
  • Professional ethics and lifelong learning competencies

Practice-Integrated Learning

Approximately 50% of the curriculum is focused on training in laboratories, practices in pharmacies, and activities in internship sites, enabling students to integrate their theoretical knowledge into the pharmacy practice effectively.

Modern Facilities

The Faculty operates 18 laboratories, ranging from basic to specialized function levels, equipped with modern instruments such as HPLC, UV-Vis, AAS, tablet compression machines, and other specialized equipment. In addition, training models, which include a virtual pharmaceutical factory and a medicinal plant garden, could contribute to a practice-oriented learning environment and enhance students’ learning experience.

Qualified Academic Staff

The academic team, who are trained both nationally and internationally, includes professors, associate professors, PhDs, and experienced practitioners. This ensures the high quality of education and a strong connection between academic knowledge and professional practice.

Strong Industry Engagement

The Faculty maintains strong collaboration with hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and pharmacy chains to support internships, experiential learning, and expanded career opportunities for students, while continuous curriculum improvement aligned with industry needs.

Pharmacist program (5 years)

The program provides a comprehensive foundation in pharmaceutical sciences and professional practice, with two main training orientations:

  • Pharmaceutical Care 
  • Pharmaceutical Sciences 

Students may complete their graduation requirements through doing a research thesis, project, or professional internship report.
